Six Sigma (Yellow and Green belt)
About us
Nations Incorporated is a premier
provider of internationally recognized
and accredited academic and
professional qualifications. Nations
School of Technology is a Registered
Provider of Six Sigma Training through
the Council for Six Sigma Certification
(CSSC).
The Council for Six Sigma Certification serves as an Official Industry Standard of Six Sigma Accreditation for Six Sigma training providers worldwide. The organisation’s objective is to ensure that Six Sigma Certified individuals have been exposed to the complete Six Sigma Body of Knowledge and have been required to meet a minimum standard of proficiency for Six Sigma and its implementation.
Quality Assurance Agency
Nations Incorporated is registered with the National Accreditation Council.
About the courses
Six Sigma is a disciplined, data-driven approach and methodology for eliminating defects (driving toward six standard deviations between the mean and the nearest specification limit) in any process – from manufacturing to transactional and from product to service. Students will learn the key principles and methodology of Six Sigma, and the techniques and tools for effective use. Nations School of Technology currently provides two levels of Six Sigma Training, the Yellow Belt and Green Belt.
Who are these courses designed for?
An individual who is a Certified Six Sigma Yellow Belt through CSSC has attained a basic knowledge of Six Sigma but does not lead projects on his / her own. A Yellow Belt participates as a core team member or subject matter expert (SME) on projects. In addition, Yellow Belts may often be responsible for running smaller process improvement projects using the PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) methodology. PDCA, often referred to as the Deming Wheel, enables Yellow Belts to identify processes that could benefit from improvement. These smaller Yellow Belt projects often get escalated to the Green Belt or Black Belt level, where a DMAIC methodology is used to maximize cost savings utilizing Statistical Process Control.
An individual who is a Six Sigma Green Belt through CSSC possesses a thorough understanding of enhanced problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) model. The Green Belt Certification designation also reflects the knowledge of the individual to serve as a trained team member within his or her function-specific area of the organization. This focus allows the Green Belt to work on a variety of projects.
